Revolut Business offers a full-featured business account with multi-currency support, expense management, and unlimited virtual cards. Since 2023, Revolut holds a European full banking license via its Lithuanian subsidiary — meaning deposit insurance up to €100,000 for EU accounts. Popular among e-Residents as a secondary account alongside Wise, especially for card payments and expense tracking.

Personal Experience

I use Revolut as a secondary account alongside Wise. The unlimited virtual cards are great — I create one per SaaS subscription for clean expense tracking. For international transfers, Wise is better (lower fees, auto-sync with Xolo). But Revolut's EU banking license gives me deposit insurance, which Wise doesn't have. My recommendation: Wise as primary, Revolut as backup.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • EU banking license — deposit insurance up to €100,000
  • Free plan available with no monthly fees
  • Unlimited virtual cards (great for separating subscriptions)
  • Lithuanian IBAN (LT) — accepted across SEPA
  • Free currency exchange up to monthly limit

Cons

  • Free plan has transfer limits — paid plan needed for higher volume
  • Xolo integration is limited/manual (not auto-sync like Wise)
  • Customer support can be slow on free plan
  • Less transparent fee structure than Wise for international transfers
