The e-Residency Tool Stack

Every company needs a provider to handle formation and accounting, and an account to get paid into. Beyond that it depends on what you sell — invoicing software if you keep your own books, VAT automation once you cross EU borders, a merchant of record if you sell digital products. Real pricing, and the drawbacks stated plainly.

Service Providers

These companies handle company formation, accounting, tax filing, and compliance for your Estonian company. You need one of them to operate.

Enty

Formation, accounting, contracts and legal address in one subscription

Enty bundles what most e-Residents otherwise buy from three separate vendors: company formation, a legal address with contact person, monthly accounting with a personal manager, plus contract templates with e-signing and unlimited invoicing. Its real advantage over Estonian accounting software is that it connects to the accounts e-Residents actually use — Wise, Revolut, LHV, Paysera. Its real weakness is the transaction caps, which are low enough that the list price rarely matches the bill.

The legal address and contact person your OÜ is required to have

If no board member of your Estonian company lives in Estonia, the Commercial Register Act requires you to appoint a licensed contact person and hold an Estonian legal address. This is not optional and cannot be done yourself — the contact person must be a notary, law office, sworn auditor or licensed trust and company service provider. Dalanta OÜ sells exactly that, bundled, at €124/year plus VAT. Official mail is scanned and emailed to you. Nothing else is included, which is the point.

Estonia's own bank — the original e-Resident banking partner

LHV is the only major Estonian bank that actively works with e-Residents. Founded in Tallinn, it's also the bank that powers Wise's European payment infrastructure. LHV offers fee-free SEPA transfers, no account maintenance fees, and an Estonian IBAN (EE prefix). The catch: account opening requires in-person identification in Estonia, and approval rates for non-residents have dropped significantly since 2020.

Lithuanian payment institution — fast, cheap, reliable backup

Paysera is a Lithuanian payment institution regulated by the Bank of Lithuania since 2004. It offers business accounts with a Lithuanian IBAN, low SEPA fees (€0.15 per transfer), and fast account opening (1 day). Paysera lacks the multi-currency depth of Wise and has no integration with e-Residency service providers — but it works well as a backup account for when your primary provider has compliance delays.
